JoSAA Round 6 versus CSAB Special rounds.

CSAB Special is not an extra JoSAA round. It follows JoSAA and allocates vacant NIT+ seats under separately published tables and rules.

JoSAA regular counselling comes first

JoSAA allocates IIT and NIT+ seats through its regular rounds. Depending on the year, the final regular round in this archive is Round 5 or Round 6.

CSAB Special uses remaining NIT+ seats

After JoSAA, CSAB Special handles eligible vacant seats at participating NITs, IIITs and other NIT+ institutes. The verified archive contains Special Rounds 1 and 2 from 2021 through 2025.

Do not mix the rank bases

Regular JoSAA reserved-category rows use matching category ranks, while the CSAB Special source labels every row as All India CRL. Compare each result only inside its published system.
